#MyVoiceMatters — Erasmus+ Project 2024-1-DE03-KA121-SCH-000199386

GSS is heading to Spain! On Sunday, March 22nd, we set off for Alicante as part of our Erasmus+ project #MyVoiceMatters, returning on Saturday, March 28th — and we couldn’t be more excited!

What’s on the agenda?
One of our key goals is to explore the Punta Violeta Project — a Spanish government initiative that raises awareness of the dangers faced by women and connects those affected with vital support.
We will be looking at „Best Practice“ examples from Alicante up close and can’t wait to bring what we learn back home and implement it here at GSS as soon as possible. This is exactly the kind of real-world democracy education that makes Erasmus+ so powerful.
We are also celebrating #myvoicematters (H.E.R.Os Service-Learning Project 2.0) together with our wonderful partner school IES Figueras Pacheco!
Taking part are students from grades 6 to 10 who have been volunteering at GSS across our various programmes: the Student Council, the First Rescue Team, Helpstarts, and Sports Aids.
Our Spanish partners are keen to learn how we have grown student participation and democratic practices at our school — and we are proud to share our story.
The programme is packed with workshops and presentations, plenty of eTwinning collaboration — and saving the best for last: on our final day we will be performing our very own AI-produced rap with lyrics written by our students, followed by a rap karaoke sing-along that we dare you not to join in with! 🎤🎶

How did we prepare?
Over two dedicated project days in February and March, our students — together with our ICT class from 8e — worked hard to get everything ready.
We learned from each other, built our team spirit and made sure that every single student feels confident and prepared. Peer-to-peer learning at its very best!
We are curious, excited and absolutely ready — stay tuned for updates and stories from Alicante!

Wishing the entire GSS community a wonderful and well-deserved Easter break — you have all truly earned it! 🐣🌸

Warm regards from the Erasmus+ Team,‘
